Detailed Chile Itinerary
Day 1-4: Santiago and Valparaiso
Begin your Chile active adventure holiday when your international flight lands in Santiago. Explore this buzzing and colourful capital city, full of cultural and historical gems. Meander round street food markets, visit museums and take a walking tour with your guide. Head to the vibrant coastal city of Valparaiso which is teeming with cultural, artistic and foodie highlights. Be sure to slow down the pace and enjoy a cocktail at a rooftop bar overlooking some spectacular views. There is also the option to visit one of Chile’s famous vineyards and try some of the delicious wine.
Day 5–6: Patagonia
Today you will head to the south of the country to the gateway of Patagonia. Here embark on a small cruise to witness nearby glaciers and go horseback riding across the mountain range. Finish with a delicious traditional barbeque lunch with a glass of red wine on a working estancia ranch. A perfect day of thrilling adventures and sumptuous food.
Day 7–10: Torres del Paine
Arrive at Chile’s most ironic National Park, Torres del Paine. Stay in a charming cosy lodge and spend the next few days choosing from a daily list of outdoor activities. While trekking is the main draw here, there is so much to enjoy and so much to explore. Try 4×4 drives, horse riding, boat trips to various scenic highlights and even kayaking. Day 11-17: Atacama Desert
Finish your Chile active adventure holiday with an incredible highlight. You have a full week amongst the mind-blowing luna landscapes of the Atacama Desert. This gives you time to see so much, while also allowing downtime to relax in your beautiful boutique hotel or by the pool. See the steaming El Tatio Geysers at dawn, the blinding salt flats and incredible sunsets over Moon Valley. Witness coloured lagoons, flamingos, hot springs…even choose to climb a volcano. Grab a bike for the day, get your walking shoes on or even take a hot air balloon ride. With so much choice and some of the most dramatic scenery on earth, this is a very special place to end your holiday.
