Detailed Northern Argentina Itinerary
Day 1-2: Buenos Aires
Begin your Northern Argentina in depth holiday. Meet your private driver and transfer to your boutique hotel to rest after your flight. The next day begin your city adventure with an in-depth private tour. Visit elegant Palermo, La Boca football stadium, the iconic Recoleta cemetery, the vibrant tango district of San Telmo and much more.


Day 3-5: Ibera Wetlands
For a complete change of scenery, head north with your driver into the deep wilderness to the nature wonderland of Ibera Wetlands. Stay in activity based eco lodge and choose from daily boat trips, wildlife walks, horse riding and so much more.
Day 6: Posadas
An early start to visit the historic Estancia Santa Ines. Known as the birthplace of the countries iconic ‘yerba mate’ drink. Enjoy a full day of activities all designed to show you the real culture of the Misiones province. Horse riding, bird watching and nature walks await you.


Day 7-8: Mocona
Head deeper into the Misiones province as you are privately driven to the Yaboti Biosphere Reserve, via lunch at a tea plantation. Your beautiful nature lodge is moments away from the amazing Macona Falls. These epic waterfalls are unique and run for 3km alongside, rather than directly into, the mighty Uruguay River.
Day 9-11: Iguazu Falls
A visit to the mighty Iguazu falls is one of the world best travel experiences. As part of your time here you can witness rivers, rainforests, plantations, villages and wildlife. Day 12-13: Purmamarca
For another stunning change of scenery, fly to Salta. Meet your driver and journey to the colourful arid surroundings of Quebrada de Humahuaca and Purmamarca. Spend time here exploring the UNESCO World Heritage mountain valley. Witness the incredible pre-Inca fortifications, cacti forests and stunning vistas. There will be time to include a stop at the open air indigenous market and the unique multicoloured mountains of Serranias de Hornocal.
Day 14-15: Tolar Grande
The landscape and scenery becomes more remote and stark as you head higher towards the Puna. Take the breathtaking winding road of Cuesta de Lipan, see the startling white salt pans of Salinas Grande and the vivid red rock of the Calley of Dreams. Spend your nights in a small comfortable hotel, with simple but delicious local food. Explore the huge Salar de Arizaro and the eerie ghost town around the abandoned La Casualidad mine. Day 16-17: El Penon

Day 20-21: Cachi

Pass through the quaint towns of Colome, Molinos, Seclantas, La Poma and Cachi. Witness whitewashed buildings, red rock mountains and lush green valleys. Day 22-23: Salta
