Detailed Itinerary
Day 1-3: Lima
Your bespoke adventure begins in the foodie capital of South America. Hit the colouful streets on a cycling trip, enjoy a fascinating street art tour, try some Peruvian gastronomic delights relaxing with rooftop sundowners. Opt to dine at one of the worlds best restaurants for a real wow moment.
Day 4-5: The Sacred Valley
Spend a couple of days acclimatising in the comfort of the Sacred Valley, where you can enjoy our flagship community immersion experience with the Misminay people, visit artisan workshops, enjoy a traditional Pachamanca farm lunch, and simply spend time relaxing and preparing for what comes next…
Day 6-9 Inca Trail & Machu Picchu
The four-day Inca Trail is one of the most famous treks in the world, and for good reason. The views of the Andes mountains are literally breathtaking, but even more so are the Inca ruins you will visit along the route. The best is saved for last, as you rise early to reach the Inca Sun Gate for those iconic views over Machu Picchu, before a guided tour of the UNESCO-listed site itself. After three nights of comfortable camping, a cozy hotel awaits you tonight nearby.
Alternatively, we can extend your time in the Sacred Valley lodge to include mountain biking, kayaking, visits to Inca sites, followed by a one day version of the final section of the Inca Trail to reach Machu Picchu (no camping involved!)
Day 10-11: Cusco
End with charming Cusco, a UNESCO World heritage site and thriving old Inca Empire. Explore markets, visit temples and fortresses, and keep some time to yourself to amble on foot and grab a delicious bite to eat at a local restaurant.
Day 12-14: Lake Titicaca
Get off-the-beaten track on your journey to Lake Titicaca, with a detour to enjoy the picturesque and informative ‘Sun Route trek’, run by local communities along the lesser-known ‘Great Inca Trail’. After overnighting on the shores of Lake Titicaca, we continue our active alternative version of the highlights by kayaking through this mystical lake to lesser-visited islands, meeting the local communities and soaking up the scenes and culture. There is even the option to stay overnight on one of the islands, should you want to fully immerse yourself in this magical place.
