In Cuzco and the highlands, the dry season of May to October provides clear sunny days, albeit with quite a chill at night. November to March are the wettest months, with many trekking trails closed at its peak in January and February. The Amazon is hot and humid all year, with the hottest (up to 40c) and wettest season also November to March.
For the peak periods of June to September, as well as Christmas, we advise booking at least six months in advance as the best sustainable lodges and boutique hotels will become fully booked.
