Day 1-2: Buenos Aires

Start your Classic Antarctica adventure in exciting Buenos Aires, home to Tango shows, iconic Recoleta, the colourful houses of La Boca, historic Plaza de Mayo and of course some incredible restaurants and markets.

Stay in a boutique and well-located hotel making it easy to explore independently.

Day 3-6: Ushuaia

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Ushuaia, the edge of the world. Your days here are spent exploring the beautiful and wild landscapes capped by snow-covered peaks.

There are some fantastic hiking trails to choose from here, not least in the stunning Tierra del Fuego National Park. Learn more about the fascinating history of the native Yamanas people, sail past the famous Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse and enjoy the thrill of a boat trip on the Beagle Channel past vast colonies of sea lions.

On your last night here, meet your fellow Antarctica cruise companions and get prepared for the cruise of a lifetime.

Day 7-8: Drakes Passage

This morning, board the smaller expedition boat and set sail for Antarctica. Your first sea-bound adventure is to navigate the imposing Drake Passage, which will be teeming with whales, petrels and curious albatrosses.

Stop for wildlife sightings and fascinating lectures about the ice, seas and wildlife led by your Polar experts on board.

A memorable few days where you start to appreciate the sheer scale of the surrounding landscapes.

Day 9: South shetland Islands

As your journey past Drakes Passage, you will reach the remote Shetland Islands and have your first glimpse of Antarctica. Pass huge ice structures and vast expanses of water as far as the eye can see.

The captain will assess if you can go ashore to be greeted by huge penguin colonies, spot seals sunbathing on giant ice floats and go cruising on zodiac boats alongside vast icebergs.

Day 10-12: Antarctica Peninsula

Our Classic Antarctica adventure continues as you journey south to the heart of the Peninsular. Sail through narrow straits, past awe-inspiring giant ice, discovering picturesque bays and soaking up the profound silence along the way.

Each landing will be different depending on conditions, weather, wildlife activity and ice, but no two days are the same and each will be a unique adventure in its own way.

Experience close encounters with chinstrap, gentoo and Adélie penguins, as well as seals, whales, and an incredible variety of seabirds.

Day 13-14: Drakes Passage

As you wave farewell to astonishing Antarctica begin your return journey to cross Drake’s Passage.

Soak up the last two days of views, meals, shared stories with your fellow guests and moments you will have had the privilege of experiencing on the White Continent.

Day 15-16: Buenos Aires

Your ship docks in Ushuaia where you will transfer to the airport for your flight to Buenos Airies.
