Our Expert Tip
”Mini- trekking on Perito Moreno Glacier is tightly regulated and the glaciers natural dynamics erase minor traces of foot traffic- the biggest footprint is the transportation emissions on getting to the glacier and so we recommend taking a shared bus to limit any impact.”

Detailed Argentina honeymoon – Hiking, Landscapes and Glaciers Itinerary
Day 1-2: Buenos Aires
Begin your Argentina Honeymoon in the buzzing capital Buenos Aires. We will suggest a lovely boutique hotel in the heart of the action, perfect for exploring the city.
With a local guide enjoy a walking tour of historical neighbourhoods and hidden gems. Jump on bikes for a private cycling tour through Recoleta and Palermo. We can recommend a fantastic restaurant to indulge in delicious Argentine food and red wine to toast married life in style.

Day 3-5: El Chalten
The adventure really begins as you leave the city, flying south to Patagonia and onwards to El Chalten. This mountain village is located in Los Glaciares National Park which is a perfect base to enjoy walking-trails directly from your hotel.
There is something for all abilities here, from gentle ambles to ease you into Patagonia, to more challenging hikes with an expert guide. Choose how you prefer to spend your time, we can include a specialist guide for certain activities such as Laguna de Los Tres hike and Laguna Torre hike.
Whatever you choose, you will be amazed at the lenga forests, exposed mountain passes, glacier-formed valleys and incredible views of Mount Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre.
Day 6-9: El Calafate
One of the highlights of your Argentina Honeymoon will be a visit to the spectacular Perito Moreno Glacier. Transfer by road to the gateway of the glacier, El Calafate, where you will spend the next three nights in a cosy comfortable hotel in the heart of amazing scenery.
Your full-day visit to the glacier itself will be a pinch-me travel moment. Strap on crampons for a guided trek over the glacier, witnessing the gigantic ice walls, stepping over deep crevasses and seeing the vivid blue ice formations up close.
Take a boat journey past giant icebergs and striking ice floes as you travel towards Estancia Cristina for exclusive and breathtaking views of the Upsala Glacier.

Day 10-12: Bariloche
Time to mix up the scenery again as you fly north to Argentina’s picturesque Lake District. We have included plenty of time here so you can do things properly and also give yourself time to relax on your honeymoon, spending time exploring the alpine town of Bariloche and its beautiful surroundings.
Enjoy a guided kayak tour across the calm waters of Mascardi Lake in Nahuel Huapi National Park and soak up the extraordinary views.
Hike the ancient trails of Llao-Llao Natural Park for epic panoramas, and at the end of each day enjoy delicious food and a glass of Malbec, of course!
Day 13-15: San Martin de Los Andes
A dream for outdoor enthusiasts, you now head to San Martin de Los Andes, on the shores of Lake Laca hugged by the Lanin National Park.
We suggest picking up a rental car (which we can arrange) to give yourself time to explore this vast and beautiful region independently and at your own pace. Choose several clearly- marked walking trails in the park, pass stunning lakes, ancient araucaria forests and be in awe of the views of Lanin Volcano.

Day 16-17: Buenos Aires
As your active Argentina honeymoon draws to an end, fly back to Buenos Aires for one final day and night of your trip.
We can recommend some incredible restaurants to enjoy a romantic meal and why not give a Tango Show a go for the complete Argentina experience.
