Day 1-3: Antigua

On arriving in Guatemala City, travel a short distance to the nation’s historic capital, Antigua. This beautiful UNESCO-listed city is filled with colonial architecture, cobbled streets, and artisan markets, all framed by towering volcanoes.

Learn about the country’s culinary heritage on a guided-food tour visiting local markets and family run eateries, sampling traditional Guatemala dishes.

The following day hike across ancient lava fields and take in panoramic views on the Pacaya Volcano hike.

Day 4-6: Tikal

Fly north to the Peten rainforest and visit one of the most impressive archaeological sites in Central America. Explore the ruins of Uaxactun and continue to Tikal National Park, traversing through jungle home to an abundance of wildlife.

Enjoy a fascinating tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Site and follow in the footsteps of Maya royalty.

Day 7-9: Orange Walk District

Cross the border into Belize, and journey by road and boat to your remote jungle lodge for a true wilderness escape. Surrounded by wealth of biodiversity, choose from a variety of included activities: lagoon kayaking at sunrise, night river safaris, guided visits to Lamanai Mayan ruins, nature walks, village life experiences, and wildlife spotting.

With over 400 bird species, crocodiles, howler monkeys, manatees and neotropical otters, this region is home to an abundance of biodiversity.

Day 10-12: San Ignacio

Journey south to theMaya mountains and check into your rainforest eco-lodge. Explore the natural wonder of Barton Creek by canoe, paddling through the cave’s cathedral like chambers.

At leisure, explore one of the many jungle hiking trails at the lodge, river tube down the Macal river, wake early for a spot of bird watching or join a tour to one of the many nearby Mayan ruins such as Caracol or Xunantunich.

Day 13-15: Toledo District

Continue to Southern Belize, home to some of the most diverse communities in Belize, impressive Mayan ruins, and pristine tropical rainforest.

On a guided tour learn about traditional Mayan chocolate making at a Maya chocolatier and continue with a traditional Garifuna drumming lesson with a local Gairfuna drummer and learn about their rich history and culture.

Day 16-18: Placencia

Conclude your wild Guatemala and Belize adventure on the white-sand beaches of Placencia. Relax and soak up the Caribbean vibes and discover the unique ecosystem of Laughing Bird Caye on a snorkelling tour.

Learn about the island’s rich marine life and its significant coral restoration efforts and see turtles, lionfish, rays, nurse sharks, reef squid, schools of fish and much more.

Day 19: Belize city

Transfer back to Belize City for your international flight home.
