Detailed Antarctica and Patagonia wilderness Itinerary
Day 1-2: Santiago
Welcome to Chile’s capital Santiago. Settle into your eco-boutique hotel in upscale Vitacura, a neighbourhood renowned for its leafy-lined streets and sophisticated charm.
With an expert local guide, explore the historical and cultural highlights of Valparaiso, ride a funicular to the hilltops for dramatic Pacific Ocean views and marvel at the bright, patchwork-coloured houses that adorn the hills before soaking up the coastal views of Vina del Mar.

Day 3-5: Torres del Paine
Fly south to Patagonia and on to the charming port town of Puerto Natales and continue to Torres del Paine National Park. Spend three nights at a remarkable lodge exploring the best of the park.
Hike the French Valley with its glaciers and towering granite walls, kayak the pristine waters of Lago Toro, or trek to the iconic Base of Towers.
All guided excursions are included as part of your stay and will allow you to explore the wild vistas of this legendary national park. Want to explore more of Patagonia during your stay? Be inspired by our Patagonia Wilderness and Wildlife Holiday.
Day 6: Punta Arenas

Day 7: King George Island
Board a two-hour flight to King George Island, the gateway to Antarctica’s South Shetland Islands, where your expedition ship awaits.
Day 8-15: Weddell Sea & Antarctic Peninsular
Over the coming days cruise between the South Shetland Islands, the western coast of the Antarctic Peninsula and the legendary Weddell Sea, known for its tabular icebergs, year-round sea ice and rich history of heroic explorers.
Daily zodiac landings and shore excursions offer up-close encounters with gentoo, chinstrap, and Adélie penguins, as well as seals, whales, and an incredible variety of seabirds. Navigate narrow straits, explore picturesque bays, and experience the profound silence of one of the most untouched places on Earth.
Every landing is unique, shaped by weather, ice, and wildlife activity, ensuring no two voyages are ever the same. While navigation into the Weddell Sea depends on sea-ice conditions, those who make it are rewarded with an experience few have ever known.

Day 16-17: Drakes Passage
