January
January is the perfect time of year for Antarctica. There are a few different ways to include Antarctica, our experts can discuss what you’d like to see, your dates and what ships would be suitable. You’ll be rewarded with some of the most beautiful and stark scenery on earth. Iconic wildlife, big skies and pure adventure.
Patagonia is perfection in January. Head to Chile or Argentina for some world-class treks, boat trips around glaciers, and incredible snowcapped mountains. Stay in boutique yurts, luxury adventure lodges or affordable hotels close to the hiking routes.
January is a great time to visit Costa Rica. Great for wildlife spotting, high octane experiences and jungle adventures.
February
Its carnival time in Brazil, so head to Rio de Janeiro for this unique and colourful experience. Get this booked early to ensure a good hotels in a great location for the greatest show on earth.

Head to Colombia in February for carnivals and to catch dry season. You can also head to the mountains for the famous Lost city Trek. A great month to swap the cold weather of home for the white-sand beaches of the Caribbean coast of Colombia.


March
March is one of the best months for a slow travel adventure to Central America, through countries like Panama, Guatemala and Belize. Wonderful temperatures, cultural highlights and jungle and wildlife wait for you.
Antarctica is a still a great holiday choice in March, albeit at the end of the season. You’ll see the crowds start to thin but wildlife is still rich. A great month for last minute cruise deals.
March is one of the best month to plan a holiday to Bhutan. The colder months of December – February will have thawed out, roads are open, and amazing treks are waiting for you. You will be totally in awe of this beautiful and secretive Kingdom; a truly unique destination and well away from the tourist crowds.
April
Consider Chile in April, to escape the crowds and enjoy the beautiful colours of Autumn in Patagonia. There are also fantastic discounts on luxury lodges in April, talk to our team of Chile experts who know the best places to include.
Mexico is wonderful in April, for sunny days, calm blue seas and a perfect time to include Merida and Chichen Itza on the Yucatan Peninsular.
The Galapagos Islands are a great choice for a family holiday in the Easter holidays. May
May is the perfect month to visit Peru. May is entering the dry season which is the best time to visit Machu Picchu and take on some amazing treks. You can also include time in the Amazon for some adventures in nature.
Bolivia is wonderful to visit in April. Despite the winter temperatures, you will be rewarded with the best views of the Uyuni Salt flats and glittering Lake Titicaca. Be sure to plan ahead as hotels book up in advance.
It’s the start of the dry season in Ecuador. Spend time in culturally rich Quito, head to the cloud forest rich in birdlife and hike up to a volcano.
June
The combination of Ecuador and The Galapagos works wonderfully in June. Escape the crowds of UK and USA school holidays that will follow, and enjoy the lush green vegetation that has followed the rain. Giant Tortoises nest in June and bird life is particularly active. You might even be lucky and spot a Humpback Whale.
The Andes in Peru looks stunning in June with the scenery lush and green. You can also catch a number of festivals in Peru in June.
In Mexico June just misses the start of the rainy season so will have far fewer tourists. A fabulous destination for foodies and those who love ancient ruins.


July
July and August are fantastic months to visit Colombia. Witness colourful festivals, take scenic hikes and visit archaeological highlights. June – September are the best months to visit Cano Cristales (The Rainbow River). You stand a great chance of seeing some amazing wildlife in July also.
Costa Rica avoids the hurricane path, meaning July can be a perfect month to travel. Less crowds, quieter beaches and empty national parks mean higher chances of seeing Sea turtles nesting. Costa Rica is also great for year-round bird watching.
July is a great month to visit Peru. The mountains are dry, and water levels drop in the Amazon making for an amazing jungle adventure and fantastic family holiday. Speak to our team about the best jungle lodges or even a luxury Amazon Cruise.
August
July and August are the best months to see Jaguars in the Pantanal, Brazil. The conditions are perfect for a high chance of seeing these amazing creatures. The best wildlife lodges get booked up well in advance, so plan ahead.
The Inca Trail in Peru is perfect for August. The dry conditions are just right, so plan well ahead to obtain trek permits. August is also a great time to include the Sacred Valley in Peru. We suggest adding on 5-6 days here to enjoy everything it has to offer in a slower, better way.
Ecuador is a fantastic destination for an August family holiday. It has so much to offer for adventure travel, horse riding, delicious food and unique lodges.


September
Holidays to The Galapagos begin again from September. Whilst Ecuador and its higher altitude may have some rainy days, The Galapagos Islands will be hot and sunny, and fantastic for wildlife spotting. The Islands will be quieter than upcoming months, giving you peace and space to see the iconic wildlife, birds and marine life.
Bolivia in September is wonderful, with nice temperatures, good visibility and lower tourist numbers. The crystallised salt flats are like a sight from another planet, bring a great camera.
If you have ever dreamt of seeing the Gorillas in Uganda and Rwanda, September is the best month to travel. Trekking with Gorillas is a truly once in a lifetime experience, which our founder Sam rates as one of lifetime travel highlights. Gorilla permits are limited, and the best lodges are sought after, so plan well ahead for this bespoke adventure in nature.
October
Bhutan is best visited in October, November or March. October is wonderful as it follows the rainier summer months so the mountains will be green and lush with life. Walking conditions are perfect so we can include some incredible trekking days, and the views from Tigers Nest Monastery will be wonderful. Book early to include some of Bhutan’s famous festivals in your holiday.
October is a fantastic month to visit Ecuador. It’s the dry season which makes for wonderful trekking conditions, and if you don’t like strong heat on holiday, October is a great month to visit. There will be plenty of wildlife to see in the Amazon, and on the Southern Pacific Coast, October is Humpback Whale watching season.
October is a great month for a holiday to Costa Rica. The Caribbean Coast is stunning, you will catch sea turtle nesting season and as its not peak season, so availability in our favourite boutique hotels should be good.


November
October through to March Is the best time to plan a holiday to Rajasthan, in Northern India. The weather will be sunny but not overwhelming, great for leopard spotting and walking tours through rich colourful cities. Get off-the-beaten-path and experience some beautiful countryside lodges in peaceful Rajasthan and try some incredible north-Indian cuisine.
November is a great month for a combined Central America holiday. By combining Guatemala, Belize, or Panama, our experts can plan a longer, slower holiday; mixing in cultures, scenery, jungle and beaches.
Argentina is wonderful in November. Head out to the wine region of Mendoza and sample some world-class Malbec. Include the mighty Iguazu falls before completely getting away from the crowds and exploring the vast and stark Puna region with your private guide. A true Argentina adventure.
December
December is all about holiday’s to Patagonia. Both Chile and Argentina Patagonia are perfect for a December holiday. Include iconic treks and witness scenery that will take your breathe away. Also look to get off the beaten track into remote Northern Argentina and visit the Puna.
Brazil makes for a great holiday destination in December. Escape the winter blues and explore vibrant Rio de Janeiro, the beaches of Paratay, waterfalls, jungle and try delicious food. Extend into Christmas and have an incredible festive holiday to Brazil.
Antarctica is incredible in December, with 24 hours of daylight. Penguin chicks hatch and seal pubs can be seen in Georgia. You will see an abundance of wildlife, with the mildest temperatures (for Antarctica) The best ships get booked up a year in advance, so speak to our Antarctica team about your December holiday.
