Day 1-4: Antigua

Arrive in Guatemala City and take a short transfer to the captivating colonial city of Antigua. The city is well known for its cobblestone streets, colourful architecture, and surrounding volcanoes.

With your local guide, explore the highlights on a walking tour before visiting the nearby town of San Miguel Escobar, for a community-led coffee experience. Spend the afternoon with local farmers learning traditional coffee cultivation and processing methods passed down through generations.

On another day, gain a deeper insight into everyday life around Antigua as you visit nearby villages and meet local artisans, chocolate makers, and textile cooperatives. Coban Guatemala

Day 5: Coban

Today get off the trodden-path and transfer by road to Coban, stopping off at RamTzul, a natural reserve home to an amazing 60m long waterfall, various hiking trails and variety of flora and fauna.

Spend time exploring the reserve and if time permits take a dip in the clear waters of this impressive waterfall.

Day 6-7: Lanquín

Continue to the impressive natural wonder of Semuc Champey. Hidden deep in the Alta Verapaz jungle, Semuc Champey is a series of tiered turquoise pools that form above the Cahabón River.

During the tour, hike to the Mirador viewpoint for panoramic views and take a refreshing swim in the turquoise pools.

The following day, soak up the lush jungle scenery and local atmosphere drifting along the Cahabón River on an inner tube.

Spend a day navigating the Rio Dulce River in Guatemala.

Day 8-10: Río Dulce

Depart Lanquín and travel by road to the heart of Río Dulce. Spend a day navigating the Río Dulce River, winding through canyons, and visiting the floating gardens of Chocón Machaca Park.

Stop at the AK’Tenamit local cooperative, which supports local education and healthcare initiatives, before continuing to the laid-back town of Livingston, home to the Garifuna community and a Caribbean flair found nowhere else in the country.

The following day, marvel at the natural wonder of Los Siete Altares and snorkel amid the rich biodiversity of Punta de Manabique, one of Livingston’s most beautiful beaches.

Day 11-12: Flores

Transfer to the Petén rainforest and stay in the heart of the jungle within Tikal National Park. During your stay, explore one of Central America’s most impressive archaeological sites- Tikal.

Enjoy a guided tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Site and discover the incredible variety of wildlife that inhabits the ancient ruins.

Day 13-16: Cayo District

Cross the border into Belize and continue to your rainforest eco-lodge set in the Maya Mountains. Explore the natural wonder of Barton Creek by canoe, paddling through the cave’s cathedral-like chambers.

At leisure, explore one of the many jungle hiking trails at the lodge, float down the Macal River on a tube, wake early for a spot of birdwatching or join a tour to one of the many nearby Mayan ruins, such as Caracol or Xunantunich.

Day 17-20: Toledo District

Continue to southern Belize, home to some of the country’s most diverse communities, impressive Maya ruins, and pristine tropical rainforest. Spend your days on guided tours exploring the best of the region.

Learn the art of traditional Maya chocolate making at a Maya chocolatier, take part in a traditional Garifuna drumming lesson, and visit a Maya home to gain insight into the rich heritage of the Kek’chi Maya community.

Conclude your stay with a snorkel excursion around the southern Cayes, where you may encounter schools of tropical fish, rays, turtles and even dolphins.

Day 21: Belize city

Transfer back to Belize city for your international flight home.
