Detailed Colombia Itinerary
Day 1-2: Bogota
Your honeymoon to Colombia begins in the capital. Bogota is steeped in culture, both historical and modern. Visit highlights such as the pre-Colombia gold museum, the old town with its colonial architecture and take the cable car for stunning views over the city and mountains. For something different, take a street art tour with “Break Borders” an initiative formed by guides who have lived through challenging times to now to show visitors the rich art and delicious local food on offer.

Day 3-4: Coffee Region
Your next stop is Colombia’s famous coffee region. Explore the private coffee estate of the Valencia Family, learning the process from bean to cup before tasting the freshest coffee of your life! Solento is definitely not to be missed; an enchanting Andean town with its luscious landscapes is the gateway to the iconic Coroca valley, where you can take a incredible hike, or amble through the streets witnessing the work of traditional artisans.
Day 5-6: Medellin
Known as the city of eternal spring this buzzing city has risen from the ashes of its challenging past to become a highlight on any holiday to Colombia. Explore Comuna 13, the once dangerous neighbourhood now transformed, to really understand the huge positive social changes the country has experienced. Visit Botancial gardens and ride the iconic Metro cable car. A day out of the city will introduce you to Guatapé & El Peñol – a mini lake district, with the opportunity to climb the rock and followed by a colourful tuk tuk tour.

Day 7-8: Tayrona National Park
Ready to get away from cities and into nature? Immerse yourself in the world renowned Tayrona National Park with its rich biodiversity, natural beauty and archaeological remains. The park is adorned with Mangrove swamps, corals, algae prairies, thorny scrubland, and magical cloud forests. Take a hike with your guide to spot rare birds and encounter diverse marine life before a refreshing swim and delicious beach picnic lunch.
Day 9-10: Cartagena
Arguably one of the most beautiful cities in all of Latin America, Cartagena mixes old world charm with Caribbean coastal vibes. Soak up the variety of architectural influences; Romanesque, Moorish, colonial, military, Arabic, Spanish, and North American all of which shaped the city you see today. With your private guide explore the historic walls, iconic plazas and vibrant districts as well as castles and convents. Want something more active? Take a bike ride with stops en route to taste the delicious local cuisine.

Day 11-14: Beach time
And finally to end your Colombia honeymoon….relax. Cartagena de Indias is the gem of the Caribbean coast, but there is more to see than just the clear blue sea. With your guide visit the Matute national park, a paradise for nature where you’ll spot native birds and howler monkeys hiding in the canopy. Choose to take tour of the beautiful old town and the Getsemani neighborhood. Enjoy your well deserved relaxation.
