Day 1-2: Santiago

Your Chil,e Argentina and Brazil holiday begins in the exciting capital of Santiago. Stay in a comfortable and well-located hotel. Relax after your flight and explore nearby highlights by foot.

Choose from a range of interesting tours during your stay, including a guided city highlights tour, cycling, street art walks and a Chilean cooking class.

Osorno Volcano, Puerto Varas, Chile

Day 3-5: Lake District, Chile

Transfer to the airport for your flight to the Lake District. Stay in the charming lakeside city of Puerto Varas, overlooked by the majestic Osorno Volcano. Spend a day at leisure exploring this beautiful setting, or choose from a range of walking trails directly from the town that will suit all abilities.

The next day, enjoy wonderful views of the Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes during a scenic drive along Lake Llanquihue. Reach the wild ‘Saltos de Petrohue’, a collection of rapids and waterfalls that dance over the impressive formations of lava rocks from the surrounding volcanoes. Visit Chiloé – an island full of myths and legends. Visit Castro, the island’s capital, with the Plaza de Armas and its orange and lilac cathedral and the island’s biggest craft market. Explore the fishing village of Dalcahue, with its photogenic clapboard houses and colourful fishing boats that bring in fresh catches of crab.

If you prefer a more wildlife-focused stay, our experts can include Puñihuil to discover a colony of Humboldt and Magellanic penguins, as well as cormorants, gulls and sea otters.

Day 6-7: Puerto Natales

Take a flight to Puerto Natales and settle into the stunning Patagonian landscape and frontier atmosphere. Wander around the town, stock-up on supplies, or rent a bike to ride along the waterfront.

Be enthralled by a seaborne excursion to a pair of Patagonia’s icy giants: Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers. Cruise north-west through the Seno Ultima Esperanza (‘Last Hope Sound’), which offers unforgettable views of snowy peaks, sparkling waterfalls and lush green forests. Look out for sea lions, cormorants and condors.

Near the base of Serrano Glacier, take a short hike to a lookout point offering an incredible view of the awesome river of ice, before continuing by boat for a delicious lunch at the remote Estancia Perales. The day concludes with another memorable cruise along the Seno Ultima Esperanza.

Day 8: Torres del Paine

Your Chile, Argentina and Brazil adventure reaches one of the most iconic national parks in South America, the awe-inspiring Torres del Paine.

A guided-tour through the park provides wonderful views onto the Torres Massif and its jagged peaks, as well as Grey Lake and the Grey Glacier. Choose from several short hikes to reach the most beautiful view points in the park surrounded by rich flora and fauna.

Choose to include a three-hour boat trip to the impressive Grey Glacier, that calves small icebergs into Lake Grey. A memorable and active day.

Day 9-10: El Calafate

Making this South America adventure more affordable and environmentally conscious, take a reliable public bus to cross the border into Argentina, heading to El Calafate. Rest and relax when you arrive at your comfortable and well located hotel.

Visit the incredible Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the greatest natural highlights in South America. There are walkways taking you to multiple viewing points, as well as a chance to get up close by boat.

Enhance your adventure by stepping on to the glacier itself for some ice-trekking, or getting on to the water to enjoy some kayaking.

Day 11-13: Ushuaia

Your journey continues as you catch a flight further south to Ushuaia, ready for adventures along the Beagle Channel. Your thrilling boat excursion around the Beagle Channel sails past the snow-dusted mountains that surround this historic stretch of water, the iconic lighthouse and large numbers of marine wildlife such as sea lions and cormorants.

Continue to the remarkable Tierra del Fuego National Park, where you will avoid the crowds by exploring hidden gems and trails unsuited to the big tour buses. Trek towards Mirador de Bahia Lapataia, through several forest trails showcasing the iconic scenery of Patagonia.

Take your pick from several off-the-beaten-path excursions, from meeting the fisherman of Cape san Pablo, hiking the awesome Esmeralda Lagoon or a thrilling day of 4×4 adventures with canoeing across Lake Escondido.

Day 14-15: Buenos Aires

Leaving the wilderness of Patagonia head to the vibrant city of Buenos Aires, where Tango shows, city tours and delicious steak and red wine await you.

The iconic Iguazu Falls

Day 16-18: Iguazu Falls

A short flight takes you to Iguazu Falls where you have three days to experience one of mother natures greatest achievements, the mighty Iguazu Falls. Firstly explore the Argentine side of the falls, for close contact both above and below.

Explore jungle trails and elevated boardwalks offering panoramic views of the waterfalls. Continue to the incredible Devil’s Throat, a lookout that brings you just centimetres from the top edge of the most imposing falls of them all

Cross to the Brazilian side and admire the largest remaining stretch of Atlantic Forest in Southern Brazil. Home to rich biodiversity, that includes the elusive jaguar, broad-snouted caiman, purple parrot, harpy eagle, peroba pink ariticum, araucaria, and many others.

Day 19-21: Rio de Janeiro

Finish your Chile, Argentina and Brazil adventure in the colourful and exciting city of Rio de Janeiro. Spend your days soaking up the atmosphere, trying some delicious local food and take a walk along the famous Copacabana beach, maybe catching a game of volleyball.

We have included a guided city tour visiting the Statue of Christ the Redeemer, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, on the summit of the Corcovado Mountain. Catch a glimpse of the rich historical and cultural heritage of the city while stopping by the cathedral, the colorful Lapa Steps and the charming bohemian neighbourhood of Santa Teresa.

A cable-car ride up the picturesque Sugarloaf Mountain, with views of the exclusive Urca neighbourhood and the Botafogo inlet, completes this unforgettable circuit that provides a taste of Rio’s greatest sites.
