Detailed Itinerary

Day 1-3: Pantanal

Start your journey in the largest wetlands on the planet, the mighty Pantanal. During your time here you will discover a huge diversity of flora and fauna by river boat, canoe, walking trails, 4×4 jeeps and even on horseback. Amongst the biodiversity to be found are 35 species of mammals (including the jaguar), 352 species of birds, and an incredible 10 million caimans!

Accommodation: 3 nights at Refugio da IlhaCapybara

Day 4-5: Bonito

A few hours drive from your Pantanal lodge is another stunning natural highlight of Brazil; the crystal-clear waters of Bonito. Here you will suit-up with our snorkelling gear and float gently downstream, admiring huge numbers of colourful fish beneath the water, as monkeys watch-on from the trees above. On the way we will also go hiking along a trail of 12 beautiful waterfalls at Boca da Onça, with a chance to swim in their clean and clear pools.

Accommodation: 2 nights at Pousada Olho Dagua

Day 6-8: Iguazu Falls

The Iguazu Falls are, in our opinion, the most beautiful and spell-binding on the planet. Consisting of over 300 individual waterfalls, and surrounded by rainforest, there is nowhere else quite like this. Straddling the border between Brazil and Argentina, we suggest one full day on each side to fully explore and immersive yourselves in this natural wonder.

Accommodation: 3 nights at Guata Pora Lodge

Day 9-12: Paraty

After a flight from Iguazu to Sao Paolo, you will be driven to the coastal town of Paraty, a preserved colonial gem and the perfect place to explore the beaches, coves, jungles and waterfalls of the Green Coast. Take a small boat trip to neighbouring bays, kayak to a mangrove forest, take a jeep tour into the mountains, or simply explore the cobblestone streets of this gorgeous town.

Accommodation: 4 nights at Pousada da Marquesa

Day 13-15: Rio de Janeiro

From Paraty we drive to Rio, known as ‘The Marvelous City’ for good reason. Here you can choose an evening tour with our local guide to experience Rio’s famous nightlife, visits to the iconic Sugarloaf and Corcovado Mountains (including the Statue Of Christ The Redeemer), hike to an alternative view of the city through the rainforest, or simply just relax by the beach!
